The role of the coach is critical in the implementation and sustainability of a school’s PBIS framework. It is critical that coaches support implementation through (1) ensuring meetings run efficiently, (2) monitoring implementation of PBIS, (3) problem solving barriers to implementation, (4) sharing responsibility and action planning across the team, (5) assisting with communication within and outside of the school leadership team, and (6) maintaining data-based decision making throughout the process.

These training materials are intended to be used by personnel who provide TA and training in PBIS implementation (e.g., trainers, state and district level coaches). Aligned with the NEPBIS Team training series, the Coach Training materials provide resources to support PBIS Coaches as they lead their schools in PBIS implementation.
