Massachusetts PBIS School Recognition

MA PBIS School Recognition Description

We want to recognize you and your school team for your hard work and efforts in implementing PBIS!

We would like to explain what you can be recognized for as well as how to get recognized. There are many levels of criteria, so even if you have not  yet met all of your schools outcomes, you may still be eligible to be recognized. The table below outlines how to meet criteria as a School of Merit, School of Distinction, or an Exemplar School in one of three areas: Sustaining, Equity, or Advanced Tiers.

Why is recognition important? First of all you’ve done a great deal of work building your PBIS Framework, so you should be recognized for it. In addition, we want to create a means for schools and programs across Massachusetts to identify and connect with others doing wonderful work positively supporting our students, families, and communities. This would provide a resource of example schools for others who are just starting out or in the process of school wide implementation of PBIS. Thank you in advance for helping our PBIS community!

We encourage you to apply! See below for more information on how to apply to be a recognized school.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to nepbis@uconn.edu
